The Erie High School Band Parents support Mr. Fruits, the Erie High School music department, and the program’s performance ensembles through volunteer service, logistics, fundraising, and family communication.
Band Parents meetings are typically held on the first Sunday of each month, with no regular meeting in July. Officer elections, bylaws, and an executive board structure will be published here once they are in place.
The Band Parents help cover many of the practical needs that keep the program running smoothly. This can include transportation support, student meals, activity and event costs, instrument and equipment repairs, uniform support, trailer needs, and other approved program expenses.

Like any student program, strong family support makes a major difference. Parents and guardians are encouraged to get involved through the Volunteering page. Families with business sponsorship opportunities can also visit Corporate Sponsors (coming soon).
The Band Parents and Mr. Fruits typically share weekly email updates so families can track upcoming events, deadlines, and volunteer needs. Families should plan to check email regularly during the school year.
The Band Parents may also share reminders through Facebook (links in the site footer), and Band.us can be used by families for updates, photos, questions, and discussion. Always rely on official school and director communications for the final version of schedules, logistics, and student expectations.
