Jazz Combos

Coming soon. Jazz Combos are not currently an active Erie Bands offering. This page is reserved for when the program launches a combo track.

Jazz combos would give musicians a chance to develop independence, listening, leadership, and chamber-style communication in smaller jazz settings connected to the Jazz Band pathway.

Current status

Erie High School Bands does not currently offer Jazz Combos. When staffing, enrollment, and program needs allow, details will be posted here and announced by Mr. Fruits.

Students interested in jazz right now should focus on the auditioned Jazz Band class.

Why combos matter (when offered)

Students become more independent musicians
Listening responsibility increases because each part matters
Leadership and rehearsal ownership grow quickly
Chamber-style performance strengthens confidence and communication
