Front Ensemble is the stationary percussion section of the marching program — often called the Pit. Players perform from the front of the field on keyboard percussion, timpani, auxiliary instruments, and electronics rather than marching with the battery (drumline).
Launch depends on securing an instructor and the needed equipment. Until both are ready, families should not assume Front Ensemble / Pit is available for the current season.
