The EHS Percussion program includes the drumline that serves as the percussion section for the Tiger Marching Band. Students build marching and concert technique, musicianship, equipment responsibility, and ensemble skills while remaining full members of the broader band program.
Recent guidance directed percussion students to register for Percussion Ensemble (drumline / marching percussion) in the fall and Concert Band in the spring. Percussion meets as a separate school-day class in the fall while still sharing marching camp, evening rehearsals, performances, and activity responsibilities.

Anyone with percussion experience can sign up for drumline. Instrument placement is based on the audition, the student’s attitude and work ethic, and what best fits the ensemble.
Recent clinic materials have asked students to learn exercises and develop a preliminary understanding of snare, tenors, bass, and cymbals. Students who cannot attend the clinic have also been given a video-submission option.

The district invited EHS Drumline to perform at the end of the staff convocation on Tuesday, August 11. Call time at Skyline High School is 8:30 a.m., with a 9:00 a.m. performance as staff exits. As many drumline members as possible are encouraged to attend.
Refresher marching camp still runs 5:00–8:00 p.m. that evening at EHS.
