The Band Leadership Team is a student leadership group that supports the director and the ensembles across the year — helping with rehearsals, logistics, communication, and peer culture so every section can perform at its best. Roles and appointments are managed within the program; contact Mr. Fruits if you have questions about leadership opportunities.
EHS has a chapter of Tri-M, the National Honor Society for Music (district-approved). Accepted students receive a pin, certificate, and a graduation cord. Returning members from last year do not need to re-apply.
New-member applications were due Friday, September 11, 2026. If you still need to apply, use the form and confirm with Mr. Fruits.
After marching season, students move into spring sit-down ensembles: Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony, plus Wind Ensemble and Unified Percussion.

Last year’s lettering application required four points earned during the school year, enrollment in band each semester, and no unexcused missed performances. Historical point categories included Honor Band, All State auditions, Solo & Ensemble, leadership, Wind Ensemble, Pit Orchestra, private lessons, scale memorization, approved service hours, and full attendance at performances.
Because lettering requirements can be revised from year to year, this should be treated as a historical guide until the current form is confirmed.
Jazz Band and Symphonic Band have dedicated audition pages. Wind Symphony placement comes from that audition process. Pit Orchestra uses live auditions in November. Percussion uses clinics and placement. Honor and All-State require separate auditions. Concert Band does not require an audition.
