The EHS Wind Ensemble is a supplemental advanced ensemble for committed musicians who want additional wind-band literature beyond the regular school-day concert program (Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony placements).
Most Wednesdays 3:00–4:30 p.m. Recent early ends (3:00–4:00): Sep 16 (HoCo) and Sep 23. Confirm on the calendar.
Erie materials connect Wind Ensemble with district and state audition preparation for students considering Honor Band and All State.
Auditions for new prospective members: Wednesday, August 26, 2026 after school (~3–4 p.m.). Open to all EHS Band students and grade levels. Previous members / last year’s accepted students need not re-audition but must confirm participation with Mr. Fruits.
Rehearsals most Wednesdays 3:00–4:30 p.m. (Sep 23 ends 4:00). Shared Jazz Band & Wind Ensemble concert October 21. Honor Band auditions strongly recommended — details.
